Renee M. Cicchino, MA is a Senior Instructional Designer for the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center at Seton Hall University. Her background in Communication, graphic design/multi-media, and online education lends it self to the diversity of her position. Over the last four years, Renee has led the online course development initiatives for the College of Arts and Sciences, and has been assisting the Stillman School of Business in developing their online taxation program. She has been supporting SetonWorldWide in their program-wide course redevelopment initiatives which will provide students with a consistent learning environment. Through her experiences she has been fortunate to experience online teaching and learning from the faculty, student, and course developer perspectives.
She is a certified Quality Matters reviewer and earned a Certificate in Online Teaching through the Sloan Consortium in July 2008. Renee has been teaching both face-to-face and online courses for Seton Hall University since 1994/1998 respectively; is an adjunct professor for Thomas Edison State College (online) and is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Emergency First Response Instructor. Recently, she was accepted into the inaugural class for the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning through Penn State and the Sloan Consortium and is completing the Institutional Representative training for Quality Matters. Renee holds a Master of Arts degree from Seton Hall University in Corporate and Public Communication as well as a Certificate in Information Technology.
