Video Online Seminar • Tuesday, May 13, 2008 • 12:00 - 1:30 PM CDT • $284
As a college administrator, you have a number of options at your disposal when you are notified of a student's misconduct or threatening behavior. Choosing the appropriate response ¯ whether a referral to mental health counseling, a written conduct report in the student's file, suspension/expulsion, or referral to another department or agency ¯ can make a big difference in the outcome of the situation and the student's future at your institution.
This online seminar will draw upon the experience of an author who has presented seminars on disruptive student behavior for more than 20 years, and on more than 100 college campuses. Dr. Gerald Amada will help you understand how to properly investigate behavioral complaints, make effective referrals, and mete out disciplinary measures. This program will include a 60-minute presentation followed by 30 minutes of Dr. Amada's responses to your questions.
Knowledge benefits for you:
• Learn the “red flag” signals that suggest a student poses a danger
