Audio Online Seminar • Tuesday, September 15, 2009 • 12:00 - 1:30 PM CDT • $274

Flawed sexual harassment policies can infringe on free speech and leave institutions vulnerable to legal fights. Eliminate problem language in your policy with this 90-minute online seminar. It offers clear, step-by-step strategies to evaluate and draft sexual harassment policy that won’t leave your institution vulnerable.

Learn from an accomplished team of legal professionals and administrators as they address every facet of sexual harassment policy:
• What to put in the policy and what to leave out
• Student centered policies vs. employee policies: Why it’s not “once size fits all”
• Combining legally acceptable language and victim support
• Reviewing and implementing best practices in sexual harassment policy
• “Watchdog” groups on the lookout for poorly-fashioned policies
• Elements and “trigger words” that violate First Amendment rights
• Live, interactive question and answer session
… and when it’s over you’ll take away a white paper packed with detailed language and tips for use when evaluating and drafting your own policy.
