Case Management: Preventing Violence and Legal Risk
Campus Safety and Student Achievement
Balancing the needs of at-risk college and university students with the broader needs and goals of campus communities seems to get more challenging every day.
Case management, a proven practice from the mental health field, can help you get help for students who need it.
Learn how case management can help you promote student success, campus safety and institutional goals with this 90-minute seminar, presented by nationally-known speakers, Brian Van Brunt , Ed.D., and Carolyn Reinach Wolf, J.D.
Case Management Leads to Campus Safety & Student Achievement
Using case management means one staff person oversees an at-risk student’s progress and action plan. Resulting benefits include:
- At-risk students get the help they need, keep appointments and stay connected with student services and campus BIT/TAT teams
- Fewer students fall through the cracks
- Over-all risk of violence in classrooms and residence halls drops
Legal risk is minimized through effective management of communication, regulations and scope of practice
Study Models, Minimize Legal Risks and More
