- Select an interdisciplinary executive committee that will administer policy, procedures and protocols as they relate to student-athletes
- Identify and prioritize the needs of their student-athletes
- Develop and explore the delivery options of a life and performance skills curriculum that will be engaging, comprehensive, cost effective and tailored to the needs of their particular institution
- Utilize existing on-campus resources and locate the most successful canned programs currently being utilized
- Respond and react most efficiently and effectively to crisis situations related to their student-athletes
- Understand the value and methods of introducing social engineering techniques as a mechanism to integrate their student-athletes into the entire institutional community
- Evaluate the effectiveness of their SASS program on an annual basis and incorporate those changes that will facilitate improvement
