Improve Participation to Enhance Learning in Online Courses
Concrete Strategies to Increase Online Student Interaction and Learning
Online courses have their benefits, but increased student participation isn’t often one of them.
Without the physical space of a classroom, how do you create an environment for meaningful discussion?
Improve Participation to Enhance Learning in Online Courses explains how to enhance the online student experience by using six concrete strategies to boost participation, deepen learning, and increase student satisfaction with online courses.
You will learn the ways in which these strategies can serve as a model for interaction and explore how to create forums that support the learning environment. The seminar also examines how to create a grading system to promote substantive participation, how to generate ownership of content and increase participation with student moderators, and how to build a community by implementing voice conferences.
