A survey of Latino youths in California indicates that higher education needs to do a better job disseminating information about financial aid, including eligibility for Pell Grants.

Although 98 percent of the youths polled said they thought attending college was important, less than two-thirds said the benefits of attending college are worth the cost, according to the policy brief “Perceptions of College Financial Aid among California Latino Youth” from the University of Southern California’s Tomás Rivera Policy Institute.

“Perceptions of College Financial Aid among California Latino Youth” is available through http://www.trpi.org/.
