‘DEEP’ focus on ‘PUPIL’: Key to Rich, Cost Effective Distance Learning Delivery

“Is the money allocated to institutional distance education getting the results on the back end in terms of student achievement?” That’s the question posed by Dr. Len Annetta of North Carolina State University (Raleigh) in his 2004 article entitled “Investigating the Relationship between Cost, Reach, and Richness in Distance Education.” To answer the question, Annetta recommends what he calls “DEEP” evaluation.
