Are You Emotionally Intelligent?

We all know this person: smart, capable, an excellent technologist, able to work well under pressure, but somehow not able to break through to the upper levels of his or her career. Something about this person makes the president and others at the institution uncomfortable; something about this person prevents the world from seeing him or her as a true leader. Theres something missing, something not quite right, something gone awry. What is it? It may be that this person, as smart and as technically capable as he or she is, is not emotionally intelligent.
