Defining Success in IT Management

The questions seem simple enough: Which colleges and universities are exceptionally successful in information technology, and how do they do it? The responses are inevitably impressionistic, reflecting institutional reputations and the intertwined products of journalism and public relations. To get beyond opinions to answers that can be supported factually will require considerable definition. The era of grace, when outcomes assessment for IT seemed indefinitely deferrable, is certainly over.
