Remember the Language Lab?

Yes, it still exists. The language lab has become a specialized computer lab. A few still have audio cassette players. Almost all now have computers at every station, serving as the main controller of media and player of software provided largely by textbook publishers. Some of these labs are almost museums of instructional technology, with everything from phonographs to Web cams. A few are still intensively used by language courses, but most have retreated to occasional and casual use.
