There is a surprising variety in the forms and methods of IT advisory committees at colleges and universities. Actually, most campuses have several committees that play some role in advisement on IT matters, regardless of the size of the institution. Despite these differences, there are some elements that these committees share and that bear directly on their effectiveness.
