Some 40 years ago, the UC Davis School of Law first opened its doors, with a complement of more than 300 students and 15 faculty members. Since then, the school has grown to 575 students and 39 faculty members, with added programs in bioethics and intellectual property, plus the various educational opportunities, new technologies, and student organizations that characterize legal education in the first decade of the millennium. Yet the school remains in the same digs it has inhabited for the past four decades.
