Janet Sperstad, CMP, is the developer of the nation’s first associate degree program in meeting and event management, at Madison Area Technical College, where she serves as lead instructor. As a two-time Planner of the Year and a Hall of Fame member of the Wisconsin Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, she is uniquely poised to identify and explain some of the challenges and opportunities faced by the event planning professional.
