Like a lot of small towns, ours has a community center. And like a lot of community centers, it displays photos of people who have contributed significantly to the community over the years. Years ago, most of photographs were of university personnel. Since then, however, the campus’s representation among the honorees has thinned. One day, I just had to ask why.
