What Went Wrong
When the University of Tennessee responded to an alumnuss request to host a special reunion for veterans, it set the date, began the publicity, and then looked to its alumni database to see who to invite. There was only one problem: the university had not been tracking veteran status as part of the tracking of its alumni.
