Institutionalizing Undergraduate Research
Before 2000, undergraduate research at Bridgewater State College occurred in an ad hoc manner across campus. After a faculty panel discussion at the end of that academic year, several administrators in attendance decided to make undergraduate research a formal part of the learning experience across the college.

How do great teaching moments happen? For me, great ideas usually come from watching bad television. One night, I found a show on the Discovery Health channel called I Lost It. The basic premise of the show is that you hear the motivational tales of people who lost weight.
Frequent Exams: Better Results for Students
Its not a new finding: in general, more exams mean better scores for students. But its nice to keep having the finding confirmed and to have yet another specific example of those better results.
