I am hopeful. Not because I paid my taxes on time this year, or that a new presidential election is near. My hope does not come specifically because marriage might be a right available to all in the near future, and not because more and more people believe quality, affordable health care is a right we all deserve. I’m not saying that these are not reasons to be hopeful, but they are not where I find my greatest source of comfort and hope.
