Positive Rites Don’t Displace Hazing, Study Says

Student organizations are adopting positive initiation activities like ropes courses, group travel, or community service to welcome new members into the fold, a new study has found. But the organizations appear to be using these activities in addition to—not as a replacement of—hazing activities.
