Good Samaritan Policies
In an effort to put safety first, even at the expense of sanctions, many colleges and universities have adopted Good Samaritan policies. These promote seeking assistance for anyone in need, due to alcohol or other issues, without fear of disciplinary consequences. The pros and cons of such policies are frequently debated by campus health, housing, safety, and judicial officers.
