How Should Student Affairs Help Students Learn About Diversity?

Diversity has probably received more attention than any other issue in American higher education in the past 40 years.
As student affairs leaders, we understand that our role extends far beyond removing barriers and improving access. Among our most important responsibilities as educators is to help students learn to be effective citizens and leaders in a complex society, where differences in race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, and gender can be understood and celebrated.
