Providing Recovery Support for Students Struggling with Addictive Disorders at Texas Tech University

Many colleges and universities have increased their efforts to prevent or minimize harm associated with drinking and drug use. However, few have actively developed programming outside of individual counseling to assist students whose substance use has progressed toward dependency. As a result, current campus resources are often inadequate when confronted with the myriad of emotional, academic, social, and health-related issues that accompany addiction.
