Race and Income Matter More Than Gender: New research from AAUW sheds light on key predictors for student success

Although girls are making big gains in education, their success has not come at the expense of boys. In a recently released research report, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) found that overall, both girls and boys are doing better on several common measures of educational achievement, suggesting that reports of a so-called boys’ crisis have been overblown.
