What Every Alcohol Education Program Should Teach Students

There are many alcohol education programs available to colleges and universities today. Some focus on the general student population while others focus on high-risk groups or students who already have been sanctioned for alcohol violations. In any case, alcohol programming should assist students in making better, more informed decisions about alcohol consumption (including whether or not they choose to drink).

All students have a tendency to feel somewhat insulated from the larger world, but this is one larger world problem that truly is going to be felt on the nations college and university campuses. The economic downturn will influence fund-raising, career planning and placement offices, financial aid offices, Greek life, residence hall occupancy, and, in the most severe cases, enrollment. We believe it is important that you recognize the economic conditions faced by students and their families, and we have the following suggestions for you to consider.
