Key Case: No Travel to Havana
In 2004, the U.S. government tightened its long-standing restrictions on educational programs offered in Cuba. A group of faculty members and students sued, claiming the new regulations were unconstitutional. This summer, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled on Emergency Coalition to Defend Educational Travel v. U.S. Department of the Treasury.
