Follow-up: College Keeps Gift of Art

Even though the college violated the terms of the gift agreement, a state court has ruled that Fisk University (TN) can keep the gift. The dispute began when Fisk tried to sell some of the 101 piece collection it holds, in an attempt to raise money for the school. Representatives of the artist’s estate had sued to block any sale of the artwork of Georgia O’Keefe.
