Faculty-Driven Change: How to Get Buy-in, Make Progress

In 2007 the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) began work with faculty representatives from 25 institutions to redesign their EdD programs to better serve their students. When these change agents convened twice a year, they shared ideas and encouraged each other in their efforts. But what happened when they got back to their institutions? It’s an interesting question that has implications for participants of any change initiative. Jill Perry, CPED program director, conducted a study to find answers to this important question.
