Meeting the Needs of Women Students

Though estimates vary, a huge proportion of the distance education market is made up of adult women--women with families who need to acquire new skills, new licensing or certification to increase their family income. Often, though, this population is lumped in with the general distance ed population, and opportunities are missed in studying these students to determine the best ways in which they may be helped to succeed.
