Preparing for the Worst: Distance Learning and Disaster
You always think you are prepared for a disaster, large or small, to hit your business, but facing one quickly points out just how unprepared you are. This was certainly my experience when Hurricane Ike barreled up from the Gulf and hit Ohio with what reportedly was still a category one hurricane. My plight was certainly nothing compared with populations, like those on the Texas coast, that were hit with the full force of the storm, but I was unprepared for even the concept of a hurricane hitting a Midwestern state.
