Technology for teaching and learning should be selected with an eye to its fit with pedagogy, according to Jane Harris, instructional technology consultant for the School of Health and Human Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.† It is not enough to talk about what the most important technologies in education are. Rather, one should learn about the appropriate technological tools for the pedagogical purpose.
