Connecting Library Resources to Blended Learning
The library is an essential partner for academic classes, but sometimes it can be overlooked by those who construct training for blended class instructors. This has been the experience of Gabe Gossett, librarian for extended education at Western Washington University. He explains that when the IT and tech support office at his institution constructed training for cohorts of blended learning instructors, “it wasn’t immediately obvious to them to invite the library.” His experience working to include the library in these training courses will give other librarians hints as to how they can incorporate the library into faculty training.
