Blended learning is on its way to becoming the “new normal” in higher education. A national study based on institutional data from 2004 reported close to 50 percent of undergraduate institutions with blended learning offerings. Since then, blended learning has become even more prevalent. A series of research studies were recently conducted that looked closely at how institutions might more effectively facilitate the adoption of blended learning. This article provides an overview of several key practices that institutional administrators can implement to facilitate the adoption of blended learning on their campuses.
