Maximize-and Measure-the Effectiveness of Blended Learning

Distance Education Report

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has been offering blended learning courses since 1997, according to Patsy Moskal, Faculty Research Associate in the Center for Distributed Learning. The popularity of blended learning at UCF led to the creation of the Research Initiative for Teaching Effectiveness, a project at UCF dedicated to research into maximizing the effectiveness of blended courses. In a conversationn with DER, Moskal, with colleagues Charles Dziuban, Joel Hartman, and Thomas Cavanagh, shared some of the key findings of this research.
