Student Enthusiasm for Online Teamwork Starts with You
Madison, Wis.September 19 An instructors enthusiasm for student teamwork is one of the essentials of making it work in online courses, says Errol Craig Sull, a composition instructor who has taught online courses for more than 10 years.
You must remain teamworks most ardent cheerleader not only in words but in deeds, said Sull, who has developed online teaching activities in use at more than 200 colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. His advice was part of the recent Magna Online Seminar Making Online Teamwork Vibrantand Getting Everyone Involved!
During the live event, Sull detailed several ways to demonstrate enthusiasm for teamwork, including:
emphasizing and explaining teamwork early in the class
sharing examples of teamwork genius with the rest of the class
