Missing a Global Market: Can U.S. Distance Education Compete Internationally?Is American distance education ready for export? Professor Caroline Sherritt, PhD, chair of Educational Administration and Research at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, thinks that American public institutions are in danger of missing the boat thats headed overseas, while major for-profit institutions solidify their hold on international markets. There may still be time, she says, to get in under the wire, if we do things right.
