Think for a moment about the sidewalks on your campus. Likely, there are curb cuts or small ramps spaced along the sidewalk length that were placed there to allow those in a wheelchair or with limited mobility to more easily navigate the sidewalk-to-street transition. Incorporating accessibility options into your distance education offerings is the same as putting curb cuts in a sidewalk. These options are a necessity for some of your faculty, staff, and students, but you may find that they make life easier for all involved.
