The greatest challenge in implementing distance education is generally not a technical one -- its a human one. The challenge manifests itself in facultys resistance to change - a change in faculty roles, a need for new development and training. This is despite the fact that faculty who have worked as distance education instructors view the experience more favorably than those who have not. So how can an institution get more faculty participation?
