Bringing Distance Education into the MainstreamBy Jennifer Patterson Lorenzetti
About five years ago, Oregon State University scrapped its existing distance learning initiative and restarted from scratch. As the newly-instituted OSU Extended Campus, the unit undertook the mission to bring its distance education offerings into the mainstream. Along the way, OSU Extended Campus and Dean Bill McCaughan discovered strategies for integrating distance learning offerings into the mission of the university.
