The Dangerous Drinking Numbers Game
In early September, Colorado State University student Samantha Spady died with a blood alcohol level of 0.43 percent. Eight days later, University of Colorado freshman Gordie Bailey was found dead with a 0.328 BAC. A few days after that, 19-year-old University of Oklahoma student Blake Hammontree was found dead with a 0.42 BAC. Should the higher education community take these deaths as a warning sign that college students are drinking more dangerously today than they were just a few years ago?
