| Study Examines the Impact of the ‘Electronic Tether’ Preliminary findings from a new study indicate that there is indeed an electronic tether between parents and first-semester, traditional-age students. Further, the study suggests that the tether not only affects students development into adulthood but also their academic development. The findings also have implications for how institutions approach student academic honesty issues. |

| Ombuds Help Students Tap into Campus Resources More than 200 campuses have instituted at least one ombudsman position. In addition to helping faculty and staff resolve employment concerns, an ombudsman helps students navigate the resources available to them on campus. |
