Carol Williams, PhD

Carol G. Williams is the professor emeritus of mathematics and former associate provost for online programs at Abilene Christian University. She has directed the online efforts, both courses and programs, at Abilene Christian University since their beginnings in 2002. Williams taught high school mathematics for 12 years before moving to the university level for 24 years. While holding the dual role of dean of the Graduate School and associate provost for Distance Education program, Williams managed the transition of four masterís degrees and three graduate certificates to online programs. Later she and her team were tasked with growing the online programs even further, as they have become an integral part of the universityís strategic plan.
Williams holds degrees from Lipscomb University, Eastern Kentucky University, and a PhD in education from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
