Jonathan Kroll is a founder and executive director at Leadership Institute for Development, Education, and Research (LIDER). He is a leadership educator and entrepreneur who began his career in higher education focusing on leadership development, community engagement, and reflection initiatives. He has co-founded two leadership training businesses and, during the last decade, has facilitated over 200 leadership workshops, retreats, and conference presentations. He is also the director of leadership at the Institute for Leadership and Training (tilt) where he prepares athletes and coaches to effectively lead themselves, their teams, and their communities. Kroll has also worked at Carnegie Mellon University, Emerson College, Miami University (Ohio), and with Semester at Sea in the past. He has trained youth, university students, educators, professional athletes, mid-level managers, and executives of multi-national corporations, nonprofits, and local family-owned businesses. Kroll consults, writes, and teaches about leadership and mentoring—as powerful developmental experiences.
Kroll has earned a PhD in human and organizational systems with a focus in leadership and mentoring from Fielding Graduate University and two master's degrees in higher education administration from Miami University and in human development from Fielding Graduate University.
