International Attendees: Letter of Invitation
If you do not live in the United States and wish to attend one of our conferences, you may need to secure a visitor visa. Advance travel planning and early visa application are important, since applications are subject to a greater degree of scrutiny than in the past. You can download a letter of invitation if needed. Attendees who are citizens of Visa Waiver Program participating countries generally do not need a letter of invitation.
Please visit the U.S. Department of States website for complete information on how to apply for a visitor visa.

Advisors Preconference Workshop
Helping student Leaders Develop Critical Thinking Skills
Getting fired up after hearing a speech about critical thinking is one thing. Taking those ideas back to campus and actually implementing them is another. Clearly, students will need ongoing help and reinforcement as they seek to put these principles into practice. Designed for advisors and others who facilitate student leadership, this session will begin with an overview of critical thinking for student leaders. Then learn concrete, practical steps that you can follow in order to help students learn, internalize, and utilize those concepts in their daily roles on campus. ($129 advance registration fee; $149 on-site).
Full refunds will be given for cancellations received by February 15, 2017. Cancellations received February 16, 2017 through March 8, 2017 are subject to a $150 service charge per person. Cancelling a registration on or after March 9, 2017 will require payment of the full registration fee. Persons who sign up for the conference but do not attend will be charged the full registration price. Substitutions and name changes can be made at any time. All cancellations must be received in writing. You can also email your cancellation notice to our customer service department at email@example.com. Include "Cancellation for Spring 2017 NCSL" in the subject line.
Note: When paying by credit card, the charge will appear as Magna Publications, Inc.
