Kinja Dixon

Kinja Dixon is a consultant, speaker, radio show host, former member of the U.S. Air Force, author of the Universal Talk Laws, and an internationally award-winning sales management expert. In 2013, Dixon won both the Gold Stevie Award and American Resort Development Association Award (ARDA) for top in-house salesperson, giving him the title of 2013 Top Sales Executive in the world. He is the only person in history to win both international awards in the same year. Rob Jenkins

Rob Jenkins

Rob Jenkins has spent 32 years in higher education as a faculty member, a department chair, an academic dean, and a program director. He is a regular contributor to The Chronicle of Higher Education and other publications, writing extensively on leadership, shared governance, teaching and learning, and the higher education job market, among other topics. An accomplished conference speaker and workshop presenter, Rob currently serves as associate professor of English at Georgia State University Perimeter College and as a senior fellow at the Academy for Academic Leadership.

After graduating from High School in Minneapolis, Mark eventually made his way to Tempe, Arizona where he attended Arizona State. After finalizing a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Mark moved to San Diego where he spent six years hanging with the Pacific Ocean. While in “America's Finest City,” Mark worked for the University of San Diego in Student Affairs and as the Athletic Ticket Manager. During this time Mark completed his MA in Leadership Studies. Dina Maloney is a certified business, executive and leadership coach, workshop facilitator, and motivational speaker who is passionate about empowering people and organizations to evaluate where they are, determine where they want to be, and identify what it will take to get there. Sara Schwerdtfeger

Sara Schwerdtfeger

Sara Schwerdtfeger, assistant professor in elementary education, currently teaches math and science methods courses for undergraduate students at Emporia State University. She supervises student teaching interns for Emporia State's Professional Development School and teaches graduate courses in the Instructional Specialist: STEM program. She is currently a PhD candidate in curriculum and instruction at Kansas State University with a math education emphasis. As a former elementary school teacher, Sara has her MA in Elementary Education as well as graduate endorsements in Teacher Leadership and Building Leadership/Administration. She has facilitated numerous professional development workshops for public school educators as well for professionals in higher education. Sara is also a curriculum consultant for EdReports, an independent nonprofit designed to improve K–12 education.

Mary Shivley is the director of advancement communications for Emporia State University. In this role she works with the Foundation and Alumni Association to help create their communication plans. Mary has worked in a variety of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs roles while at the university. She co-created the 18 credit hour leadership minor at Emporia State. She recently completed her doctorate at Baker University in Educational Leadership. As a Kansas Leadership Center Faculty in Residence at Emporia State University, she works with departments and faculty to facilitate leadership and professional development.

Matthew R. Shupp is an assistant professor in Shippensburg University's Department of Counseling and College Student Personnel. Prior to this position, Matthew served as a student affairs administrator for 12 years in a variety of institutional settings. He also traveled with the multicultural leadership program Up with People, which allowed him to travel the world, live with host families, and interact with students from 27 different countries. Dr. Shupp has presented at numerous local, regional, and national higher education and student leadership conferences.
