Writing Round in a Flat World: What the Economic Realities of the 21st Century Mean for College Writing

How do we keep writing instruction both marketable and meaningful in the 21st century? To answer this question we need to examine the elemental ingredient in global communication: communications skills—specifically, the status of our students' writing skills. After all, when our students enter the global stage, they need to be equipped to understand and respond to increasingly complex circumstances.
