Using Data Analytics to Understand and Improve Student Progression, Retention and Graduation Rates

As institutions are being held more accountable for student retention, progression and graduation rates, administrators continue to seek ways to understand what needs to be included in the effort to increase rates in all three of these areas. Macon State College, with approximately 60,000 students, uses data analytics to improve student retention, progression, and graduation rates. The information drives decision making at the institutional level that pertains to budgeting, programs, and course retention.
