Illinois’ Certificate Program for Online Administrators: Is It for You?

Many higher education commentators have written with varying degrees of doom and gloom about the possibility of a plateau in the growth of online learning. Scott Johnson, program coordinator for academic programs and services at the Illinois Online Network (ION) at the University of Illinois thought he understood what was happening. And how to respond.  “I came to the conclusion we had run out of administrators who ‘get it,’” he says. “We had reached capacity.”
