Designing a Career-Oriented Undergraduate Program

In 2010 the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) began a process to revise the undergraduate curriculum. The redesign was intended to create a more career-oriented curriculum to provide students with the skills and knowledge that could be applied in the workplace.  To do this, we developed a practice for identifying real-world program learning outcomes and authentic assessments.
