What Happens When Students Repeat Courses?

Sometimes students repeat a course because they have to, such as when they fail a required course. Other times students repeat courses to improve their grades and standings in their majors or to improve their GPAs to maintain scholarship funding or to improve their chances of getting into a competitive postsecondary professional program.
