Will Van Roosenbeek

Willem Van Roosenbeek has been a leader and champion of LGBTQ issues on the UW-La Crosse campus and in the broader community throughout his career. He serves as the LGBTQ+ Programs and Services director at UW-La Crosse. In this role, he provides overall direction for LGBTIQQAA education, programs, trainings, advocacy, and support and addresses the changing needs of an increasingly diverse student, faculty, and staff population. His workshops and trainings on the multi-faceted meanings and identities of the LGBTQ communities have been inspirational. Van Roosenbeek also serves as a board member for the community LGBTQ Center and is one of the City of La Crosses Human Rights Commissioners. He is the proud recipient of the 2010 Dr. P.B. Poorman award for his exemplary contributions.

Van Roosenbeek holds a BS in therapeutic recreation and MS in college student personnel at UW-La Crosse.
